Our History

Sound Haven Learning Center was created to provide a beautiful, historical venue to learn about various components of audio technology. Built in a restored church in the scenic town of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Sound Haven has exemplary acoustics to complement the school, workshops and concerts that are housed within its walls.

The Sound Haven Learning Center is a former church in the heart of Lake Mills. This 11,284 sq. ft. brick building was built as a church in 1893. The building was most recently known as the Renaissance Theatre.

Sound Haven offers a variety of classes, ranging from  basic to advanced programs, to aid in a student’s development as a top trained audio engineer.  The programs are designed to be affordable, hand’s on, and practical in their training.  Students who excel through the audio engineering classes will be well prepared to step into a career in audio engineering.

Community Involvement

Members of area communities are offered the opportunity to continue their technical skills training and personal development through activities such as music lessons, studio and recording space, and special  fund raising in conjunction with various music based events.  Sound Haven believes in supporting the communities that help to support their business and are pleased to offer customized opportunities to help better serve their friends in the area.

Sound Haven is proud to offer consultation services and space to neighboring churches, schools and businesses to ensure the volunteers and staff understand the basic components of audio engineering and how to operate with both basic or more complex systems.
